Dear Parents and Students
Well that is pretty much 2013 done and dusted. It will go down in history as one of CJA’s best years. Highest student count in over a decade, amazing competition results, biggest camp and grading on record. All round – just a goodie! J
To round the year off here are the last few things to share with you.
GRADING
We officially ended the year on a great note with an awesome grading. I have implemented a NEW grading structure that will align us internationally. Those that did not grade on Saturday, I will notify you in the New Year about what is happening and when you will be converting to the new system.

CAMP
We were fortunate that one of Dad’s made an amazing video clip of the camp – so go and have a look at this 5 minute clip. If you were there, great memories – if not you can see what you missed out on and what you can look forward to next year.

SECOND SKINS
We are introducing the CJA-SECOND SKIN. There is an introductory ONE TIME offer on the price. All orders need to be in by 30 January. Next order will only be in June 2014 and the prices will be quite a lot higher.

CJA IS GROWING – NEW AREAS that we will be teaching in 2014
We will be opening up in a NEW area in 2014 – we are expanding into the BURGUNDY ESTATE / BOTHASIG / EDGEMEAD area – please let your friends and family know so we can grow these classes. Jason will be the instructor running those classes.
They will initially be held at 10 Baines Road Ridgewood.
FORMAL WELCOME TO JASON
Speaking of Jason, most of the students have gotten to know him this term. We welcome him to the CJA family and wish him many happy years with us teaching jiu-jitsu. Here is short bio of Jason.
I started Karate at age 8. After watching UFC 1 and seeing Royce Gracie completely dominate all his opponents with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, I knew that I had to learn this art. So began my journey into the world of Mixed Martial Arts.
I have trained at various different martial arts schools, including running my own. Looking to the future I decided that joining Mike would be the best way forward for me and the growth of jiu-jitsu.
Martial arts has taught me many things about myself physically, mentally and spiritually and I look forward to passing it on to a whole new generation of students.

Remember the Debit Order runs will resume again from end of December as per normal.
Our offices will be closed from 20th December at 12.00pm and we return on 6th January 2014
SORRY TO SEE SHELLEY GO
As per my email yesterday we are bidding farewell to Shelley who is looking to explore avenues on her own. We are looking for her replacement – please let me know if you know of anybody suitable. We will miss you Shelley. Best of Luck!
